Celebrate Literary Freedom at Drury’s Annual Banned Books Reading
Thursday, October 2 | 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM | Olin Terrace
The Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society invites the entire Drury community to our annual Banned Books Reading, hosted in connection with the American Library Association’s Banned and Challenged Books Week. This beloved campus tradition returns with a full lineup of outstanding faculty, staff, and student readers ready to celebrate the freedom to read.
Banned Books Week reminds us of the ongoing importance of intellectual freedom and the right to access diverse perspectives through literature. By gathering to read from challenged and banned books, we affirm our commitment to open inquiry and the free exchange of ideas that are central to academic life.
